Burns Night

We are proud to be Scottish which is why we celebrate Burns Night.

Annually on January 25th, Burns Night is held to celebrate the life and work of Robert Burns – the great Scottish poet from the 1700s also known as ‘Rabbie’. He is one of the most famous and celebrated Scotsman to have ever lived.

Burns supper is the main part of the celebration and includes a plate of haggis, whisky (of course) and poetry. Before it is eaten, an address to the haggis is made to commemorate the poem written by Rabbie Burns himself. This is followed by a whisky toast to grace the evening.

Choosing the perfect whisky to accompany your Burns supper is an integral part of the night. Single malt, sherry cask matured, peated whisky is perfect as Rabbie used to drink this. This is why our Kilnsman range is the perfect choice for your Burns Night.

In the words of Rabbie himself, Freedom an’ whisky gang thegither! Take aff your dram!
