Introducing a Goldfinch limited edition 26 year old single malt whisky, from the Macallan distillery. This rarity in the whisky world was distilled in June 1993 and matured in American oak.
Limited Release
The Goldfinch team, lovers of sherry, finished in an oloroso sherry hogshead made from European oak to create a perfectly balanced double oak whisky. Non-chill filtered, natural cask strength and natural colour, this vintage release was bottled in November 2019.
Every bottle is hand numbered and is presented in a bespoke case.
Tasting Notes
Citrus fruit, butterscotch and vanilla on the nose. Wonderfully formed with warm spice, rich autumn fruits and elegant oak on the palate with a creamy, yet full bodied finish. Natural cask strength, natural colour, non-chill filtered and hand numbered, it has reached perfection. With only 100 bottle releases.
With a 1926 bottle of The Macallan Fine and Rare selling through Sotheby’s for £1,500,000 GBP, there are no signs of demand slowing for whisky produced at this famous Speyside distillery. This is an incredibly limited release of an old and beautifully balanced Macallan from 1993. It has been a real honour to find this cask and to bottle it. We have taken great care to ensure the whisky and the packaging reflect the quality, rarity and limited nature of this very special dram.
