Scotland’s Northernmost Single Malt Distillery, Home of our Mey Selections Release 4

You will find this world class distillery towering over the Orcadian town of Kirkwall, where it has stood strong against the island’s harsh weather for over 200 years. Founded in 1798 by David Robertson, the distillery stands on what was once the site of church beadle and notorious smuggler Magnus Eunson.

The distillery takes its name from Orkney’s Mainland ‘High Park’ on which it has stood stoically for the last 200 years, withstanding the long Orkney Winters and howling sea winds that help shape the distinct character of the golden liquid it produces.

The distillery is deeply proud of its rich history and traditions, many of which have been retained to this present day, including its own floor maltings and peat beds and two traditional peat-fired kilns. The local peat from the honey heathered moorlands is instrumental in creating the unique sweet and slightly smoky taste profile that the distillery is renowned for.

Our Mey Selections Release Number 4 is available to purchase via our online shop  from the 18th of June.
